Job Description: Pipeline Communications
and Technology, Inc. is seeking a qualified
candidate to fill a thermal engineer position at our Honolulu office.
Thermal engineer will design, model, and test thermal performance of high-efficiency micro-scale liquid cooling systems for high-power-density commercial/defense electronics at both component and system levels. Duties include leading a dynamic and growing micro/nano-scale thermal engineering team in a fast paced environment, conduct thermal performance analysis under a variety of use conditions, and develop new and innovative intellectual property for advanced micro-scale and nano-scale thermal/fluid applications.
Education: MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics or related micro/nano-scale field experience. Preferred candidate has 5 years experience in a company with manufactured products.
Required
Skills: Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and work ethic. Technical skills must include strong understanding of fluid mechanics and heat transfer, including thermal modeling. Hands-on testing experience and working knowledge of thermal test methods and tools desired. Candidates must also be disciplined at data acquisition, documentation, and possess familiarity with characterizing thermal interface materials.
